This new role will help to assist the senior development team in designing, building, and testing new solutions, whilst maintaining, and supporting the existing solutions Audiebant Limited currently have in their portfolio.
The ideal Junior Developer will have an eagerness to learn and develop their career, and to work with latest technologies. They must also possess a creative eye to create new aspects and maintain high energy in our solution builds.
Our bespoke solutions are based mainly on PHP and MySQL, with some Bash scripting, across our Linux platform. Knowledge of Linux, Bash scripting would be an advantage, but training can be provided if required.
Some knowledge of iOS and android app design and build would be an advantage, but not a requirement for this role.

We provide market-leading Mass Communication Zoned solutions which are fit for purpose across the public sector. These are specifically for Lockdown, Critical Incidents and General day-to-day communications.
The Role:
- Building and developing bespoke customer SaaS solutions
- Maintaining current solutions, including ongoing development
- Maintaining solution documentation, and overseeing test scenarios
- Working with support team to support new and existing clients
The person:
- PHP Development experience
- Ability to design, and write, well-formed and readable code
- Ideally some knowledge of MySQL, Linux, and Bash Scripting
- Proficient in computer hardware and software
- Ideally some knowledge of mobile device technologies such as X-code
- Keen to learn and progress
- Local to Preston
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist with the ongoing, and further development of existing solutions
- Be a part of new projects, including the design and development of such projects
- Assist the senior developers, as a team, as and when required
- Provide support assistance to the 3rd line support team, to resolve client issues
- Handle and prioritise both support requests, and development timescales, via our helpdesk ticketing system, ensuring timely and effective resolutions, and communication to clients
- Conduct user training sessions, imparting knowledge on development procedures, and best practices, including documentation, and thorough testing
- Monitor best practices, and coding standards to ensure the company is working to achieve the highest standards possible

Requirements:
- GCSE’s or equivalent qualifications in Mathematics, English and IT
- Telephonic Confidence
- Robust problem-solving and analytic capabilities
- Exceptional communication skills with the aptitude to convey technical concepts to a non-technical audience
- A customer-centric approach complemented by patience and empathy
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
- Strong organisational prowess with an emphasis on task prioritization
