Father Brown and Sister Boniface:
Father Brown is a charismatic, crime-busting priest who solves crimes in the idyllic Cotswold village of Kembleford. Set in the 1950's, this cosy crime show for BBC Daytime has carved its niche as a heart-warming detective drama that is adored worldwide. Adapted from the character created by G.K. Chesterton and portrayed by Mark Williams, Father Brown takes centre stage as a modest and unassuming Catholic priest with a knack for solving mysteries. Behind the scenes, a dedicated and passionate creative team works tirelessly to bring the quaint village of Kembleford to life, infusing the series with a perfect blend of wit, warmth, and timeless appeal.
Sister Boniface Mysteries is a spin-off of Father Brown, set in the 1960's in the aptly named village of Great Slaughter. Played by Lorna Watson, Sister Boniface is a moped riding, wine making nun who also happens to be a part time forensic scientist working with the police. Each episode invites audiences into a world where crime is solved with a touch of compassion, a dash of wit and flights of fantasy. The dedicated cast and crew aspire to create a cosy crime show unlike any other, blending mystery with humour and a hint of whimsy. With a third series launching later in the year, the show is already proving to be a global hit.
