Purpose of the Role
An exciting remote opportunity has arisen to join our IT Operations team as a Systems Support Executive where you will assist and become an integral part of the Systems Consultancy team. This will be a development role, gaining specialist skills in Systems Support with the opportunity to progress within the Systems Consultancy team whilst being exposed to insurance broking and the general broader insurance industry.
This is a junior/entry level role where full training can be given provided you have the basics from your education and a positive attitude to learning.
What you will do
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all of the following and more:
- Provide first line helpdesk support providing timely telephone and email support to end users regarding system queries on the insurance broking system, Acturis. You will resolve at point of contact, refer to specialist Systems Consultant for complex support, or assist with escalation to the software house if required, ensuring the query is fully resolved and the requester is satisfied with the outcome.
- Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of the Acturis broking system, through undertaking systems training across all aspects of system usage.
- Gain both broking and wider insurance knowledge.
- Keep up to date on software house releases and coordinate communication to end users.
- Support the Systems Consultants through the maintenance of supporting user guides.
- Attend team meetings, update resource planner and action log
Who we are looking for
This opportunity is for a school or university graduate with studies in an IT or related discipline who is keen to learn and forge a career in systems consultancy. You will need to have a high standard of IT literacy, be confident with systems based work and able to use all MS packages.
We are looking for someone with some experience in a customer service facing role with excellent interpersonal and communication skills across all mediums.
You will need to be a self-motivated highly organised team player who can use their initiative to get tasks completed, accurately and to tight deadlines.
