What to expect

Here at the Post Office, we’re steeped in tradition, but we’re going places. In this role you will be supporting the design team in setting the visual design standard for new digital products within the business. As well as working directly with your Visual Design colleagues, you will be partner closely with UX Designers, User Researchers, Product Managers, and Developers to enhance the customer experience across the digital channels, driving both acquisition and engagement in the process to aid commercial success for POL & enhance remuneration for Postmasters. Whilst you continue to hone your craft, you’ll support design decision making, create artefacts to support multiple touchpoints across the Post Office digital landscape, and support the management design systems and asset libraries.

What you’ll need to succeed

  • Either a recent graduate from a relevant degree/course and/or experience working as a visual/UI designer on digital products and services with a portfolio demonstrating your attention to detail
  • Proficient skills in common design tools such as Figma and Adobe CC
  • A passion for detail, with an understanding of typography, intuitive layouts, and asset development/creation
  • Experience working on web and mobile app platforms
  • Passionate about the customer and their role in the design process
  • Contributing to and maintaining updates to UI style guides and asset libraries
  • Illustration experience is a nice to have
  • UX experience is a nice to have
  • Experience of working in an Agile/Scrum environment is a nice to have
