Established in 1988, this is a leading plastic polythene packaging company are now looking for a Key Account Manager to join their team due to recent growth and expansion.
Overview
The Key Account Manager is a full-time on-site role based in Manchester, responsible for managing and maintaining relationships with key clients. This individual will be responsible for day-to-day tasks such as creating proposals and quotations, providing outstanding customer service, and maintaining accurate record-keeping.
It is your responsibility to generate sales turnover and margin to meet the sales team annual target and your own individual target. You are to provide exceptional account management and customer service to your current customer base. You are required to develop a close relationship with customers ensuring the products supplied meet customer needs and add value to their business, are competitively priced and all relevant new product innovations and services are introduced to ensure the company keeps its competitive edge ahead of our competitors.
The role and responsibilities -
- Working with new and existing clients to ensure that we deliver the highest level of service
- Maintaining regular contact with clients to understand their priorities and objectives
- Attending client meetings
- Liaise with our internal delivery teams to ensure client objectives are achieved
- Create proposals, monthly reports and quotations
- Maintain client portfolio to deliver budget targets
- Deal with any incoming enquiries
- There is no cold calling with this role but more handling any incoming leads
Requirements-
- Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to effectively communicate with clients and resolve issues
- Experience with managing Key Accounts and maintaining successful long-term relationships
- Be proficient in working with CRM systems, MS Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and social media platforms
- Confident and engaging presenter
- Experience within the packaging industry, polythene packaging would be advantageous.
- Have shown stability in previous roles and be committed to building a strong future career
- Have at least two years' experience and proven success of sales disciplines and a thorough understanding of the sales process (introduction, qualification, presentation, demonstration, offer, negotiation, close & follow-up).
- Be passionate about sales, have a customer-centric approach and a 'can do' attitude.
