Key Stage 1 class teacher

Class Teacher job available for September 2024.

This school is looking for a class teacher to join their school from September 2024, for 1 year to cover maternity leave within the school. This will initially be a 1 year contract with the school, with future possibilities from September 2025.

The school is currently flexible on the year group that you will be teaching, but it will be Reception or Key Stage 1 (Year 1 or Year 2). As the class teacher for the academic year you will be responsible for all aspects of class teaching, planning and preparation for the academic year. You will be able to plan and produce exciting and engaging lessons. You will help each pupil to ensure they achieve their full potential through the academic year.

You will hold a teaching qualification to teach in the UK, and ideally have experience teaching EYFS or Key Stage 1, though this is not essential. As a class teacher you will be offered PPA time, as well as regular CPD training and support from the Senior Leadership Team. This is a 2 form entry school and your PPA time will be alongside another class teacher, so you will have the opportunity to share ideas and planning. This job would be suitable for ECT teachers or more experienced teachers (and you will be paid to scale based on experience)

Located on the outskirts of Andover, this school is within easy driving distance of Winchester, Andover and Basingstoke. It is easily accessible by public transport from Andover.
