The School and Role

This small, Outstanding primary school, based in South Tyneside are looking to appoint an excellent Teaching Assistant to work in a Key Stage 1 class on a part time basis, where some pupils have SEN and low attainment. This will be a role where the KS1 Teaching Assistant will be leading phonics and maths intervention sessions, to help children catch-up and make progress. This part time Teaching Assistant role is long term and potentially permanent.

Requirements:

The desired Teaching Assistant will have;

• Experience of working with primary school aged children
• Experience of working with pupils with SEND
• A passion for the progress of primary school pupils
• An ability to work as part of a team
• Experience of teaching phonics.
