Main Duties

We are a team of passionate individuals that run after school chess clubs for children aged 5 – 13. Lots of our team of teachers are artists and designers but enjoy spending a couple of hours a week also teaching chess. We find the students love the creativity these people bring to the sessions.

The clubs take place at schools premises across London – Each person gets to teach the sessions closest to where they live.

Key Info

• Sessions run on a weekly basis during school term time.
• Sessions take place either at lunchtime (starting at between 12 and12:30pm) or after school (starting between 3 and 3:30pm). Private lessons either take place after school or on weekends.
• We have shared teaching resources and you can also structure your own lessons if you wish.
• We offer training where you get to come and shadow other teachers.

Skills and Experience Required

Requirements

• You must be able to commit to teaching at least 1 weekly hourly session (during term time).
• You need to be reliable to ensure you turn up on time.
• No teaching qualification is required and we can apply for a DBS if you don’t have one.

Sessions pay £35-£40 ph session.
