£10.42 per hour
Here at Serco, we partner with governments to provide public services across Defence, Justice & Immigration, Transport, Health, and Citizen Services. We currently have an opportunity for a Kitchen Porter to join our team. As our Kitchen Porter, you will be responsible for ensuring kitchen cleanliness, basic food and maintaining kitchen organisation.
Main responsibilities of the role include:
- Ensure basic cleaning jobs are carried out as quickly as possible.
- Collect and wash up pots and pans.
- Clean food preparation areas and equipment, in addition to crockery and cutlery.
- Keep work surfaces, walls, and floors clean and sanitised.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is safe and stored properly.
- Removing and recycling waste from the kitchen.
What you'll need to do the role:
- Ability to use initiative to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Flexible, organised, consistent and committed attributes.
- Ability to multi-tasks and meet deadlines.
- Effective communication skills.
- Good time management skills.
- Capable of working calmly and accurately.
