We are looking for a conscientious, energetic and personable Kitchen Porter to support our award winning kitchen in a 4 star Country House Hotel!
- Are you a fast learner, with a real interest in joining a dynamic kitchen team?
- Do you have excellent organisational skills and are able to work unsupervised in a fast-paced environment?
- Do you understand and have the willingness to adhere to all health and safety rules?
Responsibilities
- Keep all kitchen work surfaces (counters, sinks, ovens, walls etc.) clean and sanitised
- Sweep and mop floors at the beginning and ending of shifts
- Be ready to clean up spills to avoid hindering operations
- Wash cookware, utensils and cutlery quickly to keep them in rotation
- Arrange equipment and ingredient deliveries
- Keep the food and supply storage areas organised
- Take out the garbage
- Help with routine food preparation tasks (such as peeling and chopping vegetables) when needed
Lake District Country Hotels adheres to the working time directive keeping hours between 40-48 unless overtime is requested. You will not be asked to work split shifts in our hotels.
The job is based on 37.5 hours per week, 40 hours including breaks.
