Kitchen Porter
We are a family-run Australian business that operates food and beverage outlets at airports, creating exceptional experiences for all our customers. We are looking for a committed and enthusiastic individual to join our team at Luton Airport.
The site is an exciting new concept - delivering a top quality, speciality, Italian menu which you will be key to successfully delivering.
You will be a reliable, hardworking and enthusiastic team player, passionate about food & beverages and dedicated to providing exceptional customer service in an authentic Italian setting.
This is an hourly paid role, and you will be required to work shifts. Shifts may include an early morning start (e.g 2 am) or a late finish (e.g 11.30 pm) (there is no requirement for split or double shifts).
The role
- Maintain a high standard of kitchen hygiene and ensure expected standards are consistently achieved
- Assist in the smooth running of the kitchen and to ensure that both Health and Safety and Food Safety requirements are met on a day-to-day basis
- Ensure the cleanliness of all food preparation areas and be aware of potential dangers in failing to comply with correct cleaning processes
- To help secure control of kitchen food stocks and to ensure that there is as little waste as possible.
- Ensure that the daily routine cleaning rota is undertaken and maintained
We are looking for outgoing and engaging team players who are passionate about food and beverages.
To be successful in the role you will have:
- A good level of independent thinking
- Willingness to learn about possible health and safety concerns in a kitchen environment and address or escalate these as appropriate
- Excellent communication skills and able to build strong working relationships
- Organised and able to work effectively under pressure
- Able to follow process and maintain levels of service output
Please note: Any successful candidate will be required to:
- Provide proof of their right to work in the UK
- Hold an Airport Security ID Pass, which we will help you obtain, in order to access our site. The application process for which includes the production of a valid passport and a criminal record check together with 5 years personal/employment referencing. It is essential that you are able to meet this requirement.
