An opportunity has arisen within the Village for a Kitchen Porter to work within The Orangery kitchen. The purpose of the role is to facilitate the smooth running of the kitchen. The chosen candidate will be working closely with the Kitchen and Front of House Teams to carry out a variety of duties to improve the operational effectiveness of the department.

The chosen candidate will be keen to work in all areas of the kitchen, helping chefs, assisting with deliveries, cleaning the kitchen areas and learning simple food preparation skills. It is important that you are friendly, helpful and keen to get involved with impeccable standards of hygiene and attention to detail.

Our Kitchen Porters need to stay one step ahead in a fast-moving, customer focused environment.

Our perfect match will possess the following attributes:

• A working knowledge of Health and Safety Compliance.
• Resilience and the ability to perform well under pressure
• Excellent time keeping and attendance
• Flexibility
• A Food Safety certificate is desirable but not essential as full training will be given

Availability:

We have one vacancy offering 30 hours over 5 days in a department that operates 7 days a week. Full flexibility to work weekends and evenings is essential to meet the commercial needs of the business.
