The Five Arrows Boutique Hotel is a beautiful property located in the heart of Buckinghamshire.
The hotel boasts a 2 AA Rosette restaurant, serving locally sourced produce, and prides itself on
providing an exceptional dining experience for its guests. We are currently seeking a highly
motivated and reliable kitchen Porter to join our team. The successful candidate will be
responsible for ensuring the cleanliness and smooth running of the kitchen, in addition to
assisting the chefs with basic food preparation.

The Kitchen Porter/Assistant understands their role as an ambassador for Waddesdon Manor
and displays pride in our products, services, and delivery of exceptional customer service,
maintaining the high standards of food service in keeping with Waddesdon’s reputation.
The Kitchen Porter/Assistants main responsibility is to keep the kitchen areas clean and tidy,
making sure the food preparation areas are sanitized and all equipment is cleaned and washed
accordingly. As a kitchen assistant you may also be asked to help with food prep work. If you

Key responsibilities:
- Cleaning all kitchen equipment, surfaces and utensils to a high standard
- Operating and maintaining the dishwashing machine, ensuring all crockery, cutlery and
- Managing waste disposal and recycling
- Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation, such as chopping vegetables and
- Adhering to health and safety guidelines at all times
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential
- A willingness to learn and take on new challenges
- Good timekeeping and reliability
- Ability to work efficiently and independently, as well as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- An understanding of health and safety in a kitchen environment

Terms & Conditions:
Contract Type: Flexible
Salary: £10.42 per hour, plus a share of the discretionary service charge.
Hours: Minimum 30 hours per week. Subject to the needs of the business. You
may be required to work on any day of the week subject to levels of
business, including bank holidays. Hours may vary and cannot be
guaranteed. Your pay will reflect the hours you work. Hours of work to
suit the needs of the business (exclusive of breaks).
Annual Leave: Your statutory annual leave entitlement is 28 days (20 days plus 8
public holidays), or 5.6 weeks. This will be pro-rat’ed based on actual
hours you work. If you work a public holiday, you will be paid double
your hourly rate, but your statutory annual leave entitlement will
reduce accordingly (i.e. you are being paid double on that date, so
therefore not entitled to holiday pay or TOIL far that date).
