Around each Village, the Food and Beverage department employs around 350 team members across nine different restaurants, cafés and bars, as well as a production kitchen. There’s also a further five concessionary units including well-known brands such as Bella Italia and Café Rouge. From American grills to authentic Indian cuisine, or for those wanting a relaxing drink after a busy day, there’s something to suit all appetites at Center Parcs.

KITCHEN STEWARD / PORTER | £10.58 per hour

We are currently recruiting for this role at the following Center Parcs villages:

Longleat Forest, Warminster

Sherwood Forest, Newark

Whinfell Forest, Penrith

Woburn Forest, Bedford

All colleagues working in the following restaurants; Rajinda Pradesh, Huck's American Bar and Grill, The Pancake House, Sports Café, The Lakeside Inn, and Vitalé Café Bar will benefit from the discretionary service charge we add to bills. As a Kitchen Steward / Porter, you will be responsible for assisting the Kitchen Team dispose of kitchen waste and deep cleaning of the kitchen and wash up areas. Responsibilities will include maintaining a high standard of hygiene and safety in the kitchen, carrying out cleaning duties as specified by the Kitchen Manager such as, sweeping and mopping floors and operating pot-washing machinery.

The successful candidate must:

• Be able to work under pressure
• Have the ability to work on their own or as part of a team
• Have good communication skills
• Adhere to company COSHH regulations and ISO standards at all times

HOURS OF WORK

We have both full and part-time contracts available with a variety of shift patterns Monday to Sunday, including daytime, evenings or a mix of both. Flexibility will be required as our village is open 365 days of the year, so you will need to be able to work some weekends and public / bank holidays on a rota basis.

EXPERIENCE, SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS

Desirable requirements:

• Previous experience as a Kitchen Steward / Porter is desirable but not essential as full training will be provided
