We are currently working with a primary school in Chester to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant to work in year 5 for a long-term job starting in March 2024.
You will be working in Year 5 and across lower KS2 supporting the class teacher with the delivery of the KS2 curriculum.
The role is full time, Monday to Friday 8.30am to 3.30pm term time only.
The school is welcoming applications from level 2 and level 3 qualified Teaching Assistants.
Your new company
You will be working in Ofsted "Good" single form entry primary school joining an experienced and welcoming teaching and support team who work hard to create an engaging and fun environment for children to achieve their best. You will work closely with the class teacher to support the delivery of the KS2 national curriculum, working with children in small groups and on 1:1 basis.
Your new role
As a Teaching Assistant working in year 5 you will work under the direction of the class teacher supporting with the delivery on of the KS2 curriculum. As a Teaching assistant your main role will be to provide pupils support and guidance, ensuring that they are able to access the curriculum fully and truly enjoy their education. You will support the classroom teacher with their delivery of curriculum, both inside and outside the classroom, whilst also supporting the pupil's well-being.
What you\'ll need to succeed
To be successful with your application you will need
- You will have experience working with children within the last 2 years.
- You should feel confident working with children in small groups.
- You will need to be professional at all times, as well as friendly and enthusiastic.
- You will need to be able to communicate effectively with staff, children and parents.
- A current enhanced DBS on the update service or be willing to acquire one through Hays
- Two references from previous work
