Level 2/Level 3 Teaching Assistant Required
Fixed Term until 31/03/25
The post will be for 30 hours Per Week plus five training days – term time.
Actual Annual Salary: Grade 4 SCP 6; £16,662.76 - SCP 11; £18,117.52
Actual Annual Salary: Grade 5 SCP 9; £17,595.49 – SCP 17; £20,152.96
The Grade of the post is to be discussed at interview.
The experience of the appointed person will determine the grade.

The Teaching Assistant will:
• Work with class teachers to improve the learning and attainment of pupils.
• Promote pupils’ independence, self-esteem and social inclusion.
• Give support to pupils, individually or in groups, so they can access the curriculum, take part in learning, and experience a sense of achievement.
• Help to ensure and maintain an organised and stimulating learning environment that is tidy and well-resourced.
• Demonstrate an informed and efficient approach to teaching and learning by adopting relevant strategies to support the work of the teacher and increase achievement of all pupils including, where appropriate, those with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)
• Promote, support and facilitate inclusion by encouraging participation of all pupils in learning and extracurricular activities
• Support the teaching of a broad and balanced curriculum aimed at pupils achieving their full potential in all areas of learning
• Use effective behaviour management strategies consistently in line with the school’s policy and procedures
Qualifications and Training:
• GCSE or equivalent level, including at least a Grade 4 (previously Grade C) in English and maths
• First-aid training, or willingness to complete it
• Hold NVQ Level 2 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or NVQ Level 3 Qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning or equivalent. To be discussed.
Experience:
Candidate should have experience:
• of working within a school environment or other educational setting
• of working with children / young people
• in planning and delivering learning activities
• Of supporting pupils with a range of learning needs
