I am currently working for a world leading client who provide fuel and lubricant testing services. These services are provided to companies whose equipment and components are deployed in the most demanding conditions, across a broad range of commercial and military operators, with the aim of increasing equipment reliability.

This role will involve physical interaction with the fuels and greases, and therefore is relatively manual work, performing tests such as corrosion, anti-wear, compatibility and looking at their physical properties. It will also involve manual lifting and handling.
Responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out and co-ordinating testing according to established test methods e.g viscosity and density;
- Interpreting test data and providing conclusions based on test results;
- Advising customers on test results and other issues relating to product analysis;
- Maintenance of existing test equipment and developing/commissioning of new test methods and equipment as required;
Qualifications and experience required
* A degree in Chemistry or a related Scientific discipline
* Previous experience of working in a laboratory environment, ideally within the fuels and lubricants sector, is preferable but not essential
* Good IT literacy skills (including Microsoft Word and Excel)
