Laboratory Gas Installer

Job Type: Full Time, Permanent

Location: Alva, plus travelling throughout the UK.

Salary: £51,000 per annum.

The Role

The company have an exciting opportunity for an ambitious, installation electrician to up-skill as a Specialist Laboratory Gas Systems Installer.

You will be a motivated electrician, preferably with commercial and industrial installation experience, who would want to advance their career by expanding into a new area.

This is a great opportunity for a hard-working candidate who has a passion for delivering work to the highest standards, love working with people and is looking for a rewarding career. The job is based in Alva but involves working throughout the UK, from Monday to Friday.

They are looking for a motivated electrician, preferably with industrial and or commercial installation experience, who wants to advance their career by expanding into a new area.  They provide full training and support, enabling you to become a fully trained Laboratory Gas Systems Installer.

Key Responsibilities

  • Installation of Laboratory Gas systems, including tubing, containment, cylinder manifolds and fittings in the laboratory and light industrial environments
  • Installation and commissioning of gas detection systems
  • Producing work of a high standard which is acceptable to our customers
  • Understanding design specifications and technical drawings
  • Understanding and working in accordance with Risk Assessments and Method Statements
  • Working safely in accordance with our Health and Safety Management System
  • Communicating with customers at all levels
  • Ensuring all documentation is completed and kept up to date
  • After two years of satisfactory progress, the successful candidate would quality as a Competent Examiner

Skills &Qualifications

  • Attention to detail and who takes pride in their work and is focused on providing good service to customers.
  • The ability to solve problems as they arise during the course of their work.
  • The flexibility to work individually or as a team member and on their own initiative when the situation demands.
  • Strong communication skills.
