About the role
As a Laboratory Leader you will be playing a crucial role in the smooth running of our business, you’ll support our forecasting and planning cycle.

Your responsibilities
- Lead a team of 8 Quality Control microbiologist
- Ensuring Nottingham laboratories activities are fully compliant with regulatory and Reckitt guidelines to minimise risk to consumers, company and brand name.
- Ensuring workloads are organised to meet Production Customer Service targets.
- Ensure that new and existing product developments are introduced into the laboratories at minimum risk of non-compliance, rejection at time of manufacture through robust method transfer/validation.
- Collate appropriate KPI data to monitor performance of the laboratory & /or factory and review trends to identify areas of continuous improvement.
- With the support of the QC Operations Manager determine on-going strategy to meet future business demands and needs.
- Changing the culture of the laboratory to accept more ownership for performance and results
- Maintain and improve Compliance to GCLP/GMP and QP release.
- Maintaining Laboratory in a fully compliant / audit ready state
- Maintain customer service, cost and quality balance.
- Proactive management to deliver all KPIs
- Encourage individual and team development contribute to bench strength and work closely with factory teams to deliver key business objectives
- Challenge teams to make their own decisions and accept responsibility for the outcome
The experience we're looking for
- Degree in relevant Science subject, or HNC\D with relevant experience
- 4 years relevant professional experience
- Knowledge and experience of pharmaceutical manufacturing is advantageous but not essential.
- Knowledge of UK and EU standards and legislation is advantageous but not essential.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to influence
- Ability to lead investigations using effective problem-solving approach
