Laboratory Manager- required for our client based in Warrington. The Laboratory Manager will be primarily in a office-based Team leader role but on the odd occasion on the larger projects they will be a requirement to attend site meeting, for example pre-start meeting. The team provides an extensive and diverse range of inspection techniques to determine the condition and construction detail of concrete, masonry and steel structures.
Laboratory Manager Position Overview
- Set, monitor and review workload schedule ensuring on time delivery of orders. This will include booking & planning site
- Actively manage projects ensuring that margins are maximised and risk is reduced.
- Assisting technicians with writing test report.
- Managing daily resources to meet the clients demand
- Liaise with Technical Authorities to ensure that the correct testing process and procedures are implemented.
- Assist with the development and training of technicians.
- Ensure best practice is implemented in all areas with respect to health, safety and environmental activities.
- Represent the Company in a technical capacity with customers, suppliers and other key stakeholders to maximise secure the most effective contract terms for the Company.
Laboratory Manager Position Requirements
- Demonstrated success of managing Laboratory operations within Civil Engineering or Testing environment
- A full UK driving license
- Valid CSCS Card (For site visits)
- Any experience of IPAF, PASMA, PTS, Streetworks, Confined Spaces etc would be beneficial
- High level of competency with Microsoft Word & Excel
- Excellent communication & organisational skills.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Laboratory Manager Position Remuneration
- Salary GBP32,000 - GBP40,000
