Join Our Prestigious Laboratory Team in Manchester as a Laboratory Quality Technician!
We are looking for a passionate Laboratory Quality Technician to join us on a permanent, full-time basis. In this unique opportunity, the successful candidate will enjoy a dual role, spending 60% of their time collaborating closely with our Technical Quality Manager to meticulously maintain our quality management system. The remaining 40% of your time will be dedicated to engaging in exciting and diverse laboratory activities, making every day a new and fulfilling experience.

What you’ll be doing
- Providing support to the Technical Quality Manager to ensure that all aspects of the Quality Management System are adhered to within the laboratory
- Monitor and assess routine Laboratory Quality checks and calibrations, including, but not limited to calibrations of pipettes, balances, suitability checks on new reagents and consumables
- Monitor and maintain register for suppliers and subcontractors and associated activities
- Monitor and maintain the equipment inventory and associated activities
- Assist the Technical Quality Manager in conducting internal audits
- Prepare internal PT samples
- Assist the Technical Quality Manager in the assessment of control chart data to ensure ongoing compliance and identification of trends
- Analysis of gravimetric samples
- Assist with sample preparation for all areas of the laboratory as required
- Wet chemistry analysis
Who we’re looking for?
- Understanding of Quality Control/Quality Assurance processes and their importance within a laboratory environment
- Flexible and methodical approach to all tasks
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- A proven ability to work with minimal supervision and be able to prioritise workloads, in order to meet demanding deadlines.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Good working knowledge of Office-based software, including Microsoft Excel and Word
- Good time management skills, attention to detail and ability to cope under pressure
