We are looking for a Laboratory Scientist to join the Laboratory as part of the Typing and Development Team.
Title:Laboratory Scientist
Salary:£30,942 per annum
Contract: Permanent, full time
Hours: 35 hours per week
Location:Anthony Nolan Histocompatibility Laboratories, Hampstead, NW London
In this role, your responsibilities will include:
- Efficiently perform molecular techniques to a high standard.
- Analyse and review results in a timely manner.
- Prepare and verify reagents.
- Author and investigate quality documentation.
- Adhere to internal and external quality control guidelines.
- Maintain accurate levels of stock and reagents.
- Actively take part in training and review of own competency requirements.
To succeed in this role, you will have a degree in Life Sciences and experience of working in a semi-automated laboratory. You will have knowledge of polymerase chain reaction, gel electrophoresis, and molecular typing techniques, as well as an understanding of data protection requirements when handling clinical samples.
This role would be ideal for an enthusiastic and driven individual who is a quick learner, can work well within a team and would like to develop their career within a friendly and nurturing environment.
