About the opportunity:
Due to company expansion, my client is recruiting for a Laboratory Technician to be based at their workshop in Sutton in Ashfield, initially on a 6 month fixed contract however this could be extended to 18 months. Reporting directly to the technical manager, as a Laboratory Technician, you will support the engineering and technical team in the design and implementation of bench trials, feasibility assessments, research and investigations to facilitate treatment and recovery of contaminated soils, waters and other wastes. You will carry out sampling, testing, measuring, recording and analysing results and present finding to senior colleagues.
About the requirements:
In order to be considered for this opportunity, you must hold agood standard of education – educated to A Level standard in a science based subject. Higher education (degree or similar) in a science based subject would be an advantage.
Additionally, it is essential you have good analytical skills to be able to interpret data and be proficient in the use of Excel. Previous experience of working as a Laboratory Technician would be beneficial although not essential. Due to the location of the role, you must be able to commute to the workshop in Sutton in Ashfield on a daily basis.
About the benefits and rewards:
For this opportunity, my client is offering a basic salary of £24,000 - £26,000 per annum, depending on experience and suitability.
