Job description

Overall Purpose of the Role The Labour Optimisation Manager will work within the sectors to drive labour efficiencies that support sales growth whilst reducing operational costs either by predictive/trend analysis or tech and innovation. The Labour Optimisation Manager will work with the Compass One team & key stakeholders to identify and drive efficiencies in labour using both historical and predictive analysis. They will own & manage Labour models to ensure continuous improvements.
Key responsibilities:
  • Ensure compliance with Company and customer/client policies and procedures
  • Prioritise contracts by potential and provide practical guidance and support to those that are identified as having Labour Optimisation challenges (Assess labour needs and the optimum way to fulfil the demand), and complete a programme of change management to contract specification)
  • To be owner of the Labour Models and ensure these are maintained in relevant reporting and kept up to date with technology innovation
  • Analyse future schedules to ensure they are deployed to facilitate the predicted demand.
  • Provide guidance on-site management teams how to optimise and charge correctly for labour hours as the business needs change.
  • Provide analysis from dashboards to each segment as required to assist in labour cost alignment to demand.
  • Instigate reporting and analysis tools, to track the financial results and achievements of labour management initiatives.
  • Advise senior management through analysis, discussion, and recommendation.
  • This role will need to build strong partnerships with operations, account management, finance, and software development teams to realise some of the outcomes.
  • Promptly report any allegations of impropriety.

  • Project management expertise (preferably in labour management), exposure to productivity enhancement projects with experience of conducting time and motion studies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of site operations to recommend, implement and complete projects.
  • Knowledge and experience of optimisation
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the importance of contractual compliance.
  • Good financial acumen, able to interpret and analyse financial information.
  • Demonstrates discretion and ability to deal with confidential issues.
