Large Loss Claims Manager
Up to £50,000 DOE
Monday-Friday 9am - 5.30pm
Liverpool/Leeds - Hybrid 1 day in the office

As a Technical Claims Teams Manager, you will be the technical lead for the business making sure all work produced is technically excellent. Your role will be highly varied, and you will be responsible for development, planning and execution of internal technical and quality audits. You’ll be responsible for driving technical progression of file handlers and helping them to achieve excellence. You will have experience in handling Large Loss claims, as you will oversee Large Loss handlers and assist with workload management.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Oversee Large Loss Handler and line manager duties
- Develop and supervise others to achieve and increase their financial authority through use of Competency Frameworks
- Assist with pre audit assessments of chosen files for external and internal audits
- Provide file handlers with technical guidance on all pre lit motor claims
- Provide input for performance reviews to team leaders and assist with performance improvement plans in relation to technical competency
- Provide feedback to operational management team with recommendations for improvements
- Identify areas to improve and develop processes and procedures
- Work in partnership with Team Leaders and Operational Leads to ensure client SLAs, KPI’s and other requirements are embedded in the team and achieved/exceeded
- Develop strong and effective business relationships with key stakeholders within the firm, ensuring the independent nature of the role is not open to compromise
- Lead on technical internal audits
- Provide feedback to file handlers and stakeholders within the business on conclusion of internal audit activities
- Effectively develop and communicate recommendations for remedial action
- Make sure appropriate corrective action plans are developed and implemented by stakeholders within the business
About You:
- Experience in complex motor claims
- At least 5 years’ experience in handling claims of above £100k
- Experience in handling Large Loss claims
- You will be experienced in leading and developing a team
- You will have strong experience within auditing and file reviews
- Demonstrated presentation skills with strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate with stakeholders at all levels
