SalaryA Casual Opportunity has arisen in our busy Laundry Department. The role of the casual Linen Porter is to assist the friendly on site Laundry and Housekeeping teams with all the table linen, bed linen, towels and related linens for the hotel. The role involves clearing the corridors and linen storage rooms of dirty linen throughout the day, delivering and maintaining the required stock levels of linen and supplies within the linen storage rooms. This is a physical role involving heavy lifting and assisting Housekeeping staff with moving extra beds and cots into bedrooms as required. You will also be required to drive an electric buggy to move linen and towels around the estate.
Experience
All necessary training will be given to candidates who can demonstrate a commitment to high standards, efficiency and a willingness to learn. A good command of English language and the ability to work in an organised and conscientious manner is required.
Key Skills:
- Polite and personable with good customer service skills
- Well presented
- Ability to remain calm under pressure
- Good command of the English language, both written and verbal
- A positive personality giving service with a smile
- Reasonable level of fitness in order to meet the physical requirements of this role
- Ability and confidence to safely drive/learn to drive an electric buggy
