Greenwich Legal Services is committed to being a high performing in-house legal service which plays an essential part in the achievement of the Royal Borough's priorities and objectives for the benefit of our community.

You will join us at an exciting time as the Royal Borough continues with its on-going ambitious regeneration programme.

We are seeking a Planning & Highways Lawyer to join us dealing with a varied caseload and providing legal advice, support and representation to the Council.

We are looking to recruit a skilled and dynamic Planning and Highways Lawyer with a 'can do' enabling approach who will join our Planning & Procurement Team and play a vital role in the next stage of our continuous improvement journey.

Utilising skills and experience gained within a similar position, you will report to the Senior Planning & Highways Lawyer in the team and will have your own varied caseload on matters which will cover advising on planning and highways matters, including community infrastructure levy, assets of community value, conservation issues, and breaches of planning permissions and enforcement notices.

The successful candidate must be a Qualified Solicitor, Barrister or Chartered Legal Executive able to demonstrate experience of all aspects of the law relating to Planning & Highways. We would consider newly qualified applicants who demonstrate that they have relevant experience in local government and a keen interest in Planning law.
