Overview: Join our dynamic team as a Lead AWS Data Engineer on a 6-month contract basis (Inside IR35), where you will spearhead our data initiatives with a primary focus on Redshift. Role and Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our AWS Redshift data warehouse, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into efficient data models and ETL pipelines.
- Implement best practices for data ingestion, transformation, and storage, leveraging AWS services such as Kinesis for real-time data processing.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance data quality, consistency, and accessibility across the organization.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members, fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
- Extensive experience as a Data Engineer, with a strong focus on AWS technologies.
- Proven expertise in designing, optimizing, and managing large-scale data warehouses using AWS Redshift.
- Hands-on experience with real-time data processing and streaming technologies, particularly Kinesis.
- Proficiency in SQL and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Scala) for data manipulation and automation.
- Solid understanding of data modeling principles, ETL workflows, and data integration patterns.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with stakeholders at all levels.
- Ability to work onsite in Manchester for 3 days a week.
