We have a wonderful opportunity for a Registered Veterinary Nurse to join their team as the Lead Nurse for a cluster of three practices in West Yorkshire. This position involves both clinical and administrative responsibilities. The ideal candidate should be passionate about all aspects of the nursing role, including consulting, surgery, and leadership.
The candidate must have experience in leadership and general practice nursing to facilitate efficient and effective management of a team of nurses and patient care assistants caring for a varied caseload within the practice. The Lead Nurse will be responsible for ensuring exceptional patient care and providing support to the team of nurses and PCAs.
You will be joining a high-quality, busy 24/7 Tier 3 Hospital in West Yorkshire supported by five practices. It is proud to hold the Investors in the Environment Bronze award. You will be joining an amazing team of supportive, dedicated, and caring professionals. The hospital has full imaging facilities including Xray, multiple ultrasound scanners, onsite CT, and visiting MRI. There are four theatres with a dedicated surgical nursing team and certificate holder-led service, a dental suite with X-ray, rigid/flexible endoscopy including laparoscopy, excellent in-patient facilities with separate dog/cat/exotic and day/long stay wards plus ICU, and an onsite lab with dedicated technician (Haem/biochem/coags/EPOC). There are also separate dog/cat waiting areas and seven consult rooms.
Candidates must be qualified RVNs with at least 12 months of post-qualification experience. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, the ability to multi-task, and a flexible approach to working are essential.
