Location can be either Billund or London. Please note there is no relocation assistance is offered for this position.

Core Responsibilities

We're looking for a fantastic colleague to become a Lead Data Scientist within the Data Science team. As part of this role, you will:

  • Lead model and technology development, monitoring delivery and tracking improvements
  • Manage and prioritize product features that contribute to the business
  • Manage partners and champion a data-driven culture within their areas
  • Have good communication and influencing skills
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest data science trends, techniques and best practices and drive innovation within the team
  • Drive the culture of the Data Science Products team by creating a safe space for colleagues and providing them with feedback
  • Ensure close working relationships with the rest of the team and the wider Data Office

The role of the Data Office is to drive value from data across the LEGO Group. Our team builds and runs our central Data Platform, and is a center of excellence for data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence.

In addition, the Data Office is the hub of a community of data practitioners. We promote data literacy, ethics and good governance, and are ambassadors for the responsible use of data to drive growth.

Do you have what it takes?

  • Proven track record of completing multiple data science projects end to end, from ideation to objective formulation to implementation and deliverables.
  • Experience with data science technology (eg Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Python, RStudio, Shiny, Databricks).
  • Experienced in several data science disciplines (Machine Learning, Time-series forecasting).
  • Experience with developing products which add business value, working in an agile environment.
