Lead Dietitian

Location: The Christie Private Care, Manchester

Hours: 37.5hrs pw Mon-Fri

We have an exciting opportunity to join a CQC-rated Outstanding healthcare provider as a Clinical Lead within Dietetics.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day to day implementation of the Dietetic service at The Christie Private Care, Manchester. The service provides high quality clinical management to adult oncology patients according to best evidence and clinical guidance.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced, driven Dietitian to lead from the front to help maintain and improve our outstanding service.

About the Role

 
As the Clinical Lead for Dietetics, you will provide exceptional leadership, ensuring consistently high standards of care as well as providing guidance and support to the team. The post holder will work collaboratively to ensure the safe and effective implementation and management of the TCPC Dietetic service. 

What are we looking for?

  • A dynamic Head of Department reporting into the Regional AHP & Imaging Manager

  • Leadership on clinical aspects of the service, managing the clinical team and undertaking clinical duties as required.

  • Ability to identify future improvements and input into the required business cases

  • Monitor and manage staffing requirements and skill mix

  • Work to financial and budgetary targets and work to grow the service and team

  • Responsible for all quality management within the department including audits

  • Provide specialist, targeted & bespoke training to numerous colleague groups, both internal and external

  • To oversee the development, training, supervision, performance review and retention of staff within the department

What you'll bring:

·        Registered with the HCPC

·        Bachelor or Masters degree in Nutrition & Dietetics

·        Clinical experience working within dietetic services

·        Experience working in a specialist area

·        Experience within the oncology setting

·        Experience leading a team

·        Experience of workforce planning and skill mix review

·        Evidence of research in a specialist area

·        Member of the British Dietetic Association (BDA)
