About The Role

Main Duties & Responsibilities of the Role

Maintaining the identity and importance of the Electrical Safety Rules, Electrical awareness, and training. Appoint competent persons (CP’s) on site in line with company policies, standards, and procedures.
• 
  
Promote our business Health & Safety, Environmental, Quality policy and our organisations working values.
• 
  
Review all risk work, safety programmes and supporting documentation. Provide guidance support and technical advice to the team and Sub Contractors
• 
  
Carry out regular safe inspections, safety interventions and near miss assessments, auditing, reviewing quality, compliance, and schedule contractual obligations. Ensuring documentation is completed in a timely manner.
• 
  
Responsible for issuing permits to sub-contractors, working at height, confined spaces, electrical, Mechanical and access. This includes but limited to checking Sub-contractor rams, Personal protective equipment, and complete management of Sub-contractors while on site.
• 
  
• Responsible for ensuring Equipment is provided in good condition and used correctly for work as necessary. Carry out routine inspections and follow up on necessary corrective actions.
  
• To respond in a prompt and effective manner to all escalated Electrical, Mechanical, building fabric related to reactive, planned maintenance and project issues. This includes specialist sub-contractor scheduled maintenance works, emergency call and project work.

Professional Qualifications and Experience required:

• 
  
EAL 600/4338/6 Level 3 award Periodic inspection testing
• 
  
EAL 600/4337/4 Level 3 award Initial verification and certification of electrical installation
• 
  
18th Edition Electrical installation 2382
• 
  
• Experience with carrying out Electrical/ Mechanical assessment and the appointment process.

• Experienced auditing Engineers and assessing contract/site requirements.

• The position would ideally suit an established electrical bias engineer with Mechanical experience.

• Working in a similar role for the last 5 years.

• The ability to construct and implement safe systems of works.

• Water systems knowledge

• Experience issuing permits.

• Previous experience working with Health Technical Memoranda (HTM) and other engineering guidelines SFG20
