Our client is currently recruiting on a permanent basis for a Lead Electronics Engineer to join and provide strong leadership to their electronics team based on the outskirts of Chester.
This is a fantastic opportunity to join a global, ever-growing business in a hands-on role. My client designs and manufactures an extensive product range for the aerospace industry. The Lead Electronics Engineer will act as the most senior electronics engineer within the company, leading and developing the department whilst having an active input in the technical aspects of the role also.
Duties:
- Providing strong leadership to the Electronics team, developing and growing the team.
- Implementing design & development processes and tool set.
- Leading failure investigations, NPD activities and RFI/RFP activities for the department.
- Driving department continuous improvement.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Relevant degree/equivalent experience.
- Significant experience in the design and development of complex electronics, software & actuation control systems ideally within the aerospace/defence industry.
- Strong leadership skills with demonstrated management experience.
- Proven problem solving and analytical skills.
- Experience mainly within hardware but with software knowledge.
