AddressOur client is a global engineering business with multiple sites in the North East. They are currently looking for a Lead HSE Advisor to join them on a permanent basis. You will be joining their site based in Blyth, Northumberland.
This role will have the opportunity to work closely with all teams across the business to ensure that HSE issues are identified and mitigated to acceptable levels. This will offer a Lead HSE Advisor to join a dynamic global business who are invested in HSE at all levels and are committed to promoting best practice and a positive safety culture within the workplace.

About the Lead HSE Advisor
As Lead HSE Advisor, you will be responsible for leading on the management of the company’s HSE policies and procedures ensuring legal compliance whilst delivering HSE at the project level.
Other responsibilities of the Lead HSE Advisor include:
- Assist with the management of effective communication and consultation of health, safety and environmental matters.
- Provide regular workforce updates with use of visual management, tool box talks, SIMOPS, email communication etc.
- Carry out HSEQ reviews and audits
- Ensure safe systems of work and all necessary and appropriate safety devices and protective equipment are provided, installed and used
- Organise and manage investigations and reports following accidents, serious incidents etc.
About You
As Lead HSE Advisor, you will be a knowledgeable Advisor with experience in an Engineering environment. You will have excellent interpersonal skills and be highly analytical with the ability to interpret technical information.
Other requirements of the HSE Lead include:
- A recognised HSE qualification e.g. NEBOSH, IOSH or British Safety Council qualification
- Ability to prepare and present succinct presentations to get the safety and environment message across to all teams
- OHSAS 45001 Internal or Lead Auditor would be advantageous
