Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
As a MRO Value Engineer, you will be part of a team that will focus on:
- Safety: Develop and implement a special process auditing system based on our 259.08 quality requirements. The team will develop the auditing system and participate in monthly audits around our global component repair network.
- Quality: The team will collaborate with different repair shops and HQ to deploy a tollgate process to ensure that newly developed repairs are industrialized at a high quality, ensuring that quality, delivery, and cost metrics are met before a new repair is deployed.
- Delivery: The team will collaborate with repair shops to identify, and problem solve for constraints to achieve a 30-day repair TAT. Examples include identifying technical process improvements, justifying capex spending, and rightsizing demand/equipment capacity to the demand.
- Cost: The team will drive productivity improvements in the network by understanding best practices in the network and deploying globally.
- Own a portion of the actions to achieve delivery targets for component repair. Understand existing processes and challenges to drive targeted improvement efforts to decrease delivery times.
- Has knowledge of best practices and how own area integrated with others; is aware of the competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market
- Uses some judgment and has some ability to propose different solutions outside of set parameters to address more complicated manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Uses technical experience and analytical thinking. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own teams to arrive at decisions.
- May lead small projects with low risks and resource requirements. Explains information; developing skills to bring team members to consensus around topics within field. Conveys performance expectations and may handle sensitive issues.
- Find creative solutions within complex manufacturing processes with technical variety and/or interdependent production cycles. Employ operational/product management, manufacturing or engineering techniques. Interaction with adjacent functions needed to solve issues. Evaluate quality of information received and questions conflicting data for analysis. Use multiple internal and external resources outside of own function to help arrive at a decision.
Required Qualifications
- A dvanced experience in the Manufacturing & Production Quality Assurance.
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
- Minimum of 3 years' experience in Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, or Supply Chain
- Strong English language skills, written and oral.
