Lead Nursery Teacher

Step Teachers are working with a Nursery in Mill Hill, seeking a Lead Nursery Teacher to start immediately, working with children up to 5 years old. This is a full-time year-round position. 

This nursery has been praised for its high-quality and ambitious curriculum with good behaviour management strategies in place. The ideal Lead Nursey Teacher will continue this and hopefully become a long-standing member of staff taking advantage of the length of service awards and if required, heavily discounted childcare.

As a Lead Nursery Teacher, your duties will include: 

• Have strong EYFS curricular knowledge

• Upkeep a tidy, organised room with accessible resources where needed 

• Direct and support any additional staff in the room, where applicable 

• Ability to assess and report on your children when required 

• Able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons 

• Willingness to comply with the nursery policies and implement them effectively  

To be considered for the Lead Nursery Teacher role you will: 

• Hold QTS, EYTS or be willing to study on the job, providing you hold a recent early-years related degree

• Have recent mainstream school-based/Nursery experience
