Lead Operations Technician

Jonathan Lee Recruitment has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and collaborative Lead Operations Technician to join our client's inclusive and welcoming team. This full-time role is based in Bicester and offers an attractive salary and benefits package.

As a Lead Operations Technician, you will provide supervision on a shift rota (4 on 4 off days and nights) to ensure the safe and continuous running of equipment used for the test and development of synthetic fuels. You will also actively coach and develop the operations team primarily to ensure operating integrity and also develop junior staff.

In your first few weeks in this Lead Operations Technician role, you can expect to:

• Set the boundaries and identify the interfaces
• Lead by example and set the standard for the operations shift team
• Monitor the continuous running and test and development equipment and report and inconsistencies to the Laboratory Manager/Engineering Team
• Follow test & development equipment operating procedures
• Implement operations and maintenance procedures, policies and safe working practices for your areas of responsibility

To apply for this Lead Operations Technician role, you will need experience in supervision and leadership, along with experience operating test rig software and operating high-temperature process equipment. You will also require the following:

• Ability to read and work from P&ID diagrams
• Ability to work from engineering drawings
• Experience monitoring real-time data
• Apprentice trained to ONC/HNC NVQ or C&G level 3
• Experience within the oil and gas or petrochemical industries
