We are recruiting for Lead Pain Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) to join our Cancer Centre at The Harley Street Clinic.
This unique and exciting post has just come up at for the The Harley Street Clinic. This senior nursing post will have responsibility for both strategic and operational management of the Pain Services. Working as an autonomous practitioner, the successful candidate will effectively coordinate and deliver an expert nursing service within the specialist area. The Lead CNS will also lead the development of evidence based clinical nursing practice, in line with current research and guidelines, ensuring surgical and medical teams are supplied with individualised pain management plan for all acute and chronic pain referrals.
Duties and Responsibilities will include, but not limited to:
- Manage an expert specialist pain management nursing service
- Provide expert nursing advice and support to patients, their families and healthcare professionals
- Coordinate a seamless service through the development of enhanced MDT processes and communication
- Ensure operational policies are reviewed annually in accordance with national standards
What you'll bring:
- Adult NMC Registration
- Higher degree (MSc) or equivalent in pain management
- Relevant post-registration qualification in specialist field
- Demonstrable management experience
- Significant exposure and experience to pain management
