Lead Pharmacy Technician: Procurement, Stores and Distribution

To manage the daily workload and staff within the pharmacy procurement and goods received.To ensure that all necessary medicines and pharmaceuticals required for the treatment of patients are purchased in an efficient and cost effective manner.To manage the day-to-day running of all aspects of the procurement office and the supply chain of medicines.To support the PPM procurement and the Professional Pharmacy Manager in all aspects of pharmaceutical procurement, storage and Distribution,To support the PPM Procurement in the strategic development of all aspects of the pharmacy services relating to procurement and the delivery of trust savings and service efficiencies. .

Working as a qualified pharmacy technician, including two years in hospital at a band 5 or above

Experience in the area of pharmacy relevant to this post

Proven management experience

Hold an Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) certificate

Be able to communicate effectively

Have basic keyboard and computer skills (word processing, spreadsheets, report generation and presentations)
