Are you patient, kind, compassionate, creative and motivated?
Playing a game, eating lunch together, visiting a beach. Theyre everyday things. But in this job, theyre powerful tools: for building trust, creating memories, and improving young lives. Because the children in our care have faced more challenges than most, and its our job to help them realise their potential and integrate back into their communities.
Here, at CrossReachs residential service, children live in small community houses and learn at a new purpose-built school, all supported by caring professionals like you. Its a place made with positive experiences and clear structure in mind somewhere to heal in time, grow as individuals and succeed in the future.
Which makes this a role with incredible impact. Youll act as a mentor for individual children, taking on key-worker responsibilities, assessing needs, and developing achievable care plans. With the help of the team around you, youll take a whole-child approach supporting them in everyday tasks, to gain positive experiences and improve relationships.
As such, this is a role for an experienced care professional, preferably with an HNC Social Care and SVQ Level 3 qualification. As we are always taking our young people on adventures, you will also need a driving licence.
Even though CrossReach is one of Scotlands largest social care organisations with services across the country, we genuinely value the individual. For the children here, that means being treated with respect, whatever the circumstances. For professionals like you, it means being part of an environment where you can contribute ideas, have your needs recognised and achieve your ambitions.
Because as you support the childrens future, well look after yours, with ongoing training and Support for achieving additional qualifications. You'll also receive a range of benefits, including company pension, health cash plan, paid holiday and access to a range of leisure and retail discounts.
As we do our work in Christs name you must be respectful of our Christian Ethos and be able to work within it.
This post requires you to be a member of the Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme and undertake the necessary vetting checks. You will also be required to be registered with SSSC and it is your professional responsibility to ensure that you meet the standards and criteria for registration.
