The Opportunity

The Lead Product Owner is responsible for operating both the product and technology spectrum and to be at the core of product development. You are responsible for communicating and collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to elicit exact requirements and determine priorities.

You will be the evangelist of the product management vision within the delivery stream and ensure the effective feedback to product management within the agile ceremonies.

The role will involve:

  • Being accountable for driving the execution and delivery of the tribe roadmap through prioritisation of the tribe features and user stories with the squad PO for the engineering teams at a holistic level
  • Owning the tribe backlog and associated sequencing and planning?
  • Lead the Product Owners in the prioritisation of the squadstory backlogs to achieve the tribe proposition value as quickly as possible.?
  • Coach the teams in the development of best in class simple, clear, unambiguous, and concise user stories.?
  • Provide leadership to tribe Product Owners, ensuring the team exhibit best in class user story creation, prioritisation decision making, architecture collaboration etc?
  • Promote cross tribe socialisation of capabilities, service offerings etc - especially into the Data domain to productise and commercialise data through our applications and services?
  • Work closely with the Lead Product Manager to define the phased delivery plan, release cycle and cadence for the different products in the tribe portfolio. ?

About You

To be successful as the Lead Product Owner you will have proven experience in a similar role and be someone who is able to communicate effectively to both technical and non-technical members of the team/stakeholders.

You will also have/be:

  • Graduate Calibre
  • Professional Scrum Product Owner or Certified in SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager
  • Strong understanding of Agile
  • Experienced working across and maintaining multiple feature and team backlogs to a high standard
  • Ability to create full cost models and Profit and Loss profiling against a Product/ Feature. Change Request.
