WHAT TO EXPECT

We are actively in pursuit of an accomplished Lead Project Engineer, poised to play a pivotal role in advancing our Charging Software realm.

 

This individual will manage and coordinate all activities including planning, development, testing, and validations. You will manage this between project stakeholders to enable the delivery of JLR’s next-generation Battery Management Control Module (BMCM).

 

Your mission? To work alongside Product owners, subject experts, software delivery engineers, in-house software teams and external suppliers to secure on-time releases for our next generation of electric vehicle applications. Strong leadership will be required to guide our teams towards successful deliveries.

 

Key Accountabilities and Responsibilities

  • Manage communication of software status and timings
  • Coordinate daily activities to deliver all application projects
  • Manage programme requirements, evaluate resource impacts and build plans accordingly
  • Lead product issue resolutions
  • Maintain project plans, resource usage trackers, reporting project status
  • Lead interactions across our propulsion domain.
  • Secure resources to enable project plan (ECUs, Test Properties and consumables)

 

Knowledge, Skills and Experience

Essential – 

  • Capability of cross-functional coordination and management
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Project Management of embedded software projects, interacting with diverse cross-functional teams
  • Agile mindset
  • Issue resolution methodology
  • Previous experience in Powertrain technical project leadership
  • Jira and Confluence, Powerpoint, Excel experience
  • Ability to deliver presentations to work groups and senior management
