Copello are now recruiting for a Lead Project Planner on behalf of a leading Defence Manufacturer.
The Lead Project Controller will manage the PM&C processes of either small projects, or parts of larger, more complex projects with the support of the PM/Head of Projects. You will lead a small team, responsible for managing their delivery and performance and providing appraisal and support to their development.
Duties and responsibilities will include:
- Managing the PM&C processes on a full project lifecycle to ensure that the needs of customers/users are met and that financial and other benefits are achieved.
- Identifying, assessing, and managing risks to the success of the project.
- Agreeing the PM&C approach with stakeholders, preparing realistic plans (including quality, risk and communications plans) and tracking activities against the project schedule, managing stakeholder involvement as appropriate.
- Consolidating expertise from multiple sources, including third party experts, to provide coherent advice to organisational objectives.
- Supporting and promoting the development and sharing of specialist knowledge within the organisation.
- Performing advanced project reporting & scheduling.
- Having a comprehensive knowledge of Business processes and procedures.
This is a role for an experienced project professional with a small team and the ability to deliver with limited guidance from the Line Manager.
To be considered for this role, you will:
- Hold a PM Qualification such as APM, Prince2 or similar.
- Be experienced with Primavera (P6) or an alternative Project Management Toolset.
- Be an analytical thinker, able to look at PM data/trends and advise Project Managers accordingly.
- Have working knowledge of EVM.
- Have strong stakeholder management, able to extract and consolidate information from different sources.
- Have Planning/Schedule management experience.
- Have previous line management experience.
This role is looking to pay c 50K plus attractive benefits package and share scheme. The role offers flexible and some remote working, with 3 days on-site working. You must be eligible for SC clearance.
