Our client is a renowned insurance company committed to providing excellent services to their customers. With their focus on innovation and technological advancement, they are now seeking a highly skilled Lead Site Reliability Engineer to join their dynamic IT department and contribute to their continued success.
Role & Responsibilities:
* Lead the implementation and oversight of Site Reliability Engineering practices across the organisation
* Ensure the availability, performance, and scalability of the company's applications and systems
* Design and develop automation tools and frameworks for continuous deployment and monitoring
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance system reliability, performance, and stability
* Engage with development and operations teams to architect and implement DevOps strategies
* Troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations
* Mentor and guide 3 members of the SRE team, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing
Key Skills:
* Managing deployments of new infrastructure aligning with overall IT strategy and integration requirements.
* Strong knowledge of DevOps principles and best practices.
* Proficiency in cloud technologies and infrastructure (Azure)
* Expertise in Infrastructure as code tools (IAC) such as terraform or Ansible.
* Proficiency with Powershell or Python.
* Experience in supporting CI/CD pipelines within Azure devops.
* Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
* Leadership abilities and the capacity to work effectively in a team environment
