Lead Solicitor – Renewable Energy & Power Generation IPP
Lead Solicitor sought by leading Renewable Energy, Power Generation and Energy Storage independent power producer and EPC. The successful Lead Solicitor will oversee a team that takes projects from the project development team, supporting the closure of contracts and managing them through construction into operations. As a fully integrated IPP and EPC, your team will be exposed to the full project life cycle and you will manage and support procurement professionals, commercial managers and quantity surveyors.
The portfolio of confirmed projects includes the UK’s largest Hydrogen production facility (3GW’s), Pumped Storage Hydro (1.5GW’s) and GW’s of Battery Storage / H2 Ready Thermal Assets.
The ideal Lead Solicitor will be equally comfortable closing commercial contracts as they will in monitoring the performance of third parties and managing quality.
Commercial Director key requirements;
- Proven track record of managing high value contracts in energy/infrastructure projects successfully.
- Substantial Contract negotiation / delivery experience – Assertive profile
- Previously supported the commercial delivery of high value projects (>£100m preferred)
- Experience supporting front end procurement / closing of commercial agreements
- Experience seeing these agreements through to fulfilment
- Experience managing any claims processes that arise during or post project completion
The successful Lead Solicitor will oversee general commercial aspects of the business while supporting the delivery of a pipeline of challenging projects. You will operate within an organisation that offers autonomy, generous remuneration and flexibility.
Location – Head office is in London and projects are all within the United Kingdom. Whilst there is a preference for a London based location, this point can be flexible. There will be travel required within the UK.
