This is a great job opportunity for a Lead Support Worker to join our team here in Newcastle. As our Lead Support Worker within the out of hours team, you will provide urgent and reactive shift cover when our services need it the most.

This is the perfect job for you if you like the buzz of a working across many Tyneside and Northumberland supported services. This is a fast-paced environment and very reactive. You?ll be jumping into action with your experience and expertise, supporting our services who need us the most.

Day in the life of a Lead Support Worker (known by us as Support Coordinator)

• You will provide peripatetic cover around Tyneside and Northumberland when someone is unable to complete their shift.
• You will work across the ?hotspot? nights and days, which is likely to include weekends. (There will be rest days in between)
• You will have a reactive role and no two shifts will be the same. This role will have variety.
• From Northumberland to central Newcastle, you will have sound working knowledge of our services.
• You will be a self-starter and be able to hit the ground running from the start.

Job details

• You will work on a rota basis, but your shifts will have a mixture of weekday nights and weekend days and nights. (We are a service that is awake around the clock from 5pm ? 9am)
• This is a waking night role, based around Tyneside and Northumberland services. (Main based is at our Newcastle service on Westgate Road)
• Able to use technology for essential paperwork/key tasks.
• To get from A to B, having a vehicle insured for business purposes is highly desirable. The great news is that we?ll pay your mileage!
• You?ll need an Enhanced DBS check done and we pay for that.
