Digital Services bring trusted design, data and technology know-how to the delivery of lifelong learning. Digital Services are responsible for the digital information, systems and technologies used by staff and students across The Open University. Covering all aspects of digital technology at the OU, from sourcing and maintaining systems, through to providing frontline IT support for staff and students.  The role We have an exciting opportunity for a Lead Technical Architect to drive forward the OU’s architecture prowess. As a Lead Technical Architect, you will be supporting the delivery of cross-cutting capabilities that enable change across the University, engaging with delivery teams. This will involve working with a variety of stakeholders and other Architects across the University, contributing to and evangelising the technology strategy and roadmaps from a business, technology and data perspective. Although this role is aligned to our Milton Keynes office, we are flexible on location across the UK, with the understanding of occasional ad-hoc attendance onsite.  Skills and experience Do you possess proven experience of technical, infrastructure and data architecture and its interrelationships with the organisational landscape? Are you experienced in defining principles, patterns, policies, roadmaps and vision statements? Are you highly experienced in architecting cloud-based solutions, supporting teams in selecting components in line with standards and technology strategy? Are you a confident communicator, able to liaise with a variety of teams and multiple stakeholders effectively?  If the answer to these questions is yes – we want to hear from you!
