Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an energetic and growth-minded leader to join the Private Pricing Programs and Experiences (3PX) team. In this role, you will lead the team responsible for Strategic Scale Initiatives. Your team will be globally distributed and own extending the Private Pricing Program’s mental models, best practices, and processes globally through a hub-and-spoke model that you define. You and your team will also drive a set of prioritized strategic initiatives to build foundation for the Private Pricing business and increase the effectiveness and efficiency of the broader organization. You will own both the long-term strategic thinking and short-term tactical planning, and mobilize your team through reliable and repeatable mechanisms that enable scale. Through this work, you and your team will play an instrumental role in driving Private Pricing Program awareness and adoption, and increasing deal count and velocity. The ideal candidate is energized by ambiguity, and enjoys hands-on opportunities to assess, define, and build vs. a turnkey role. You are customer-obsessed; you habitually work back from the customers’ needs and pain points in defining and prioritizing your work. You excel at stakeholder management, and can influence others to bring your vision to life through their work. You are focused and organized, and can orchestrate effectively even as the team juggles multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. You have excellent judgment on people’s strengths and motivations, and can optimize the team accordingly. You measure success by impact (vs. size of effort), and continuously inspect both approach and output to incrementally raise the bar over time.
Key job responsibilities
• Effectively lead a globally distributed team in an ambitious, fast-paced environment
• Define and drive the hub-and-spoke planning and operating model for the global 3PX organization
• Lead the team in extending the Private Pricing Program’s mental models, best practices, and processes globally
• Establish criteria and related mechanism to assess and prioritize the select number of strategic initiatives the team takes on
• Lead the team in defining near-term fixes and sustaining scale solutions for an agreed upon set of strategic initiatives

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in sales, marketing, or related field
• Team lead or management experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
• Experience leading a B2B content or marketing team
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to master complex concepts quickly and independently
• Ability to build and retain a happy and high-performing team
• Strong business acumen and tenacity; ability to work autonomously through ambiguity and complexity in a fast-moving environment to drive results
