Due to Growth within Educationwise Academy's OUTSTANDING team we have an excellent opportunity to join the Educationwise Academy team, within a new role as a Leadership and Business Essentials Tutor/Assessor.
Educationwise Academy is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Tutor to join our team and propel our brand forward. The role is to deliver teaching, learning and assessment practice, aligned to awarding organisation qualifications and apprenticeship standards and vocational qualifications, plus support in writing curriculum where required.
Key Responsibilities-
Teaching and Learning:
- Coach all learners through their qualification and standards of the apprenticeship & vocational programmes
- Deliver a variety of courses and sessions to support the qualifications and apprenticeship standards they are delivering on
- Undertake effective progress reviews and set SMART targets with employers and learners to monitor progress and support development and timely achievement
- Maintain and enhance relationships with business support teams to support the delivery of the sector plan
- Contribute to ad hoc cross sector/function projects to support the delivery of EDUCATIONWISE strategic plan
Administration:
- Be actively involved in and support the recruitment, sign-up, induction and initial assessment of learners
- Ensure full quality compliance with systems to support learners’ timely progress and meet Awarding Body, DFE, ESFA and Ofsted requirements
- Work closely with the administration team in giving them all the information they need for each learner attending courses and on apprenticeship standards
Standards and Policies:
- To ensure the implementation of Equal Opportunities and Safeguarding when representing EDUCATIONWISE.
- To participate in all self-assessment and quality procedures required by EDUCATIONWISE in order to implement the EDUCATIONWISE Quality Improvement Strategy.
- To contribute to the marketing, promotions and enhancing of the profile of the programme area.
General:
- To promote good relationships and advance equality of opportunity between different groups and eliminate discrimination, harassment and victimisation.
- To deal professionally with colleagues and external partners as required.
- To carry out other such appropriate duties that maybe reasonably required to successfully carry out the role
- Meet the professional demands of governance and those set by external awarding bodies and Ofsted
Qualifications-
Level 3-4 Certificate in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (CTLLS) or equivalent
Be occupationally competent in the area of course delivery
Holds an assessor qualification – eg..
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Vocationally Related Achievement.
- Level 3 Award in Assessing Competence in the Work Environment.
- Level 3 Certificate in Assessing Vocational Achievement.
- ENTO Unit D32/33 or the A1/A2 Assessor Units.
- Hold a Level 2 qualification relevant to course content
- Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy
Experience-
Experience in the Leadership and Business sector
Proficiency with ICT software required in role
Recent experience in assessing teaching adults
Have a commitment to developing other people in a personal continual professional development and training
Evidence of CPD
Knowledge of the National Curriculum and the education landscape
