The Training and Development function plays a vital role in ensuring the success of our business; ensuring our people are ready to deliver fantastic guest care and that they are legislatively and technically competent to deliver our product to our guests.
LEARNING AND DEVELOPMENT ADVISOR | Circa £32,700 per annum
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced trainer to join our busy L and D team.
In this role you will provide a professional and inspiring welcome to all new colleagues ensuring that they receive and understand the agreed company induction programme and support the delivery of the wider training calendar.
You’ll be able to work without supervision and taking sole responsibility for the delivery of key training programmes for management development topics and legal compliance courses for all colleagues as well as ensuring all our employees are adhering to the standard operating procedures for our delivery model, known as CODE.
Whilst the majority of your role will be in the classroom delivering training, either as the lead trainer or supporting others, you will also need strong administrative and analytical skills to provide essential monitoring and compliance reporting as required.
HOURS OF WORK
You will be contracted to work 160 hours per 4-week period (40 hours per week). Your working hours will typically be Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm. However, flexibility to work occasional weekends will be required.
As our village is open 365 days of the year, your working hours will include public / bank holidays and during Christmas and / or New Year on a rota basis.
ABOUT YOU
Essential requirements:
- Experience of delivering a range of training topics to mixed groups from diverse job roles
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to inspire confidence and establish rapport and credibility
- Ability to work under your own initiative
- Competent user of Microsoft Office including Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Desirable requirements:
- Recognised training qualification i.e. CIPD Level 3 In Learning and Development or equivalent
- IOSHH Managing Safely or equivalent
- Previous experience of working in a service environment where the interface between employees and customers is critical.
